Simply Punk :: SIMPL3JACK
artist: SIMPL3JACK | genre: punk | label: Holy War Entertainment
What do you get when a thirteen year old boy falls asleep and dreams of a space odyssey searching for Bob Mould and Grant Hart from Hüsker Dü? You get a song dedicated to White Stripes drummer Meg White of course. If that makes any sense to you at all then you are going to love the oft-times quirky lyrics delivered in the classic hardcore punk style that SIMPL3JACK delivers.
What else do you need to know? They are young teenagers; they are from Northern California; their lyrics aren’t going to inspire a revolution, a small uprising or win a Pulitzer, for that matter…but they are downright clever. Most of all though…these cats can play and they’re good. Really good.
Sample a few tracks from their newest release (below) and, if you like these, then we recommend heading on over to iTunes and download the whole album for yourself.

Big sound for a 3-piece! I'm impressed.
Awesome! Love their website too.
Thanks you guys. You are so awesome for supporting indie music. If there is anybody reading this that wants to have us on a show sometime - please give us a shout. We will play anywhere anytime. We want to tour this summer non-stop. Take a listen and see if there are any shows that you could fit us on. Cheers, S3K

jack johnson discoveered these guys, i saw them play in hawaii when they were like 12...me and my friends were blown away
the jack johnson thing is probably right...they have a song called Simpl3jackjohnson on the album i just checked out on itunes.
the jack johnson connection is probably right. they have a song on the itunes cd calle d "simpl3jackjohnson"
the jack johnson connection is real....they have a song on the cd called Simpl3jackjohnson which is rad...not many punk bands throw in an ukulele track like that!
We were emailed the digital press kit. After listening to several tracks a few times "Lizard Wash" definitely stood out to me. I guess I like the 50's vibe it has, and besides it showed off a different sound from the rest of the tracks. In truth it was hard to narrow it down to just a few tracks to share. Unlike a lot of crap out there with only a few good tracks on an album, this entire album is very playable. "At War With The Cherubs" was another favorite.
SO awesome!!! S3K is the best! :D
i can't tell if i love these guys because they're only 13 or just because the songs rock. if jerry argento happens to be reading this: please book these guys for a show in Seattle!
a friend of a friend is a director named Pete Ohs, he just finished that killer Best Coast video that has Bethany and Ronald McDonald involved in a love affair...anyway, he's in production on a simpl3jack music video....can't wait to see it!
ummmmm......WOW
Lizzard Wash is a REALLY good song
these kids put on incredibly high energy live shows
there's hope yet for the justin beiber generation
I love that best coast video....looking forward to seeing the simpl3jack vidoe
do these kids write their own songs? if so I'm on the bandwagon.
Please put me in touch with SIMPL3JACK's manager, or parents, or whatever. I would like to book them for a show this summer at the Redwood Music Festival in Humboldt.
